Hand Hollow State Forest

Columbia County’s newest State Forest: 518 acres of wooded property, open brush land and a 10-acre lake available for hiking, biking, paddling and non-motorized boating, picnicking, horseback riding (except on foot trails and snowmobile/ski trails when snow covered), primitive camping, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hunting, fishing, trapping, wildlife observation and photography. There are currently no official trails on the property.

Cty Rt 34 (Hand Hollow Rd) near intersections of Cty 9 and Schoolhouse Rd, New Lebanon.

Camping Season: May-October; park open YR - fee to enter Memorial Day - Labor Day.
