Book Talk & Guided Walk at Rheinstrom Hill

Join us with Author and Copake Town Historian, Howard Blue, for is giving a two-part program based on his book The Man Who Sold Superman to the World.  At 2:00 pm, a book talk and signing will take place at the Copake Grange, followed by a guided tour* at Rheinstrom Hill Audubon Center & Sanctuary.

Carroll Rheinstrom’s first came to Copake as a Boy Scout in 1918; later he bought 9 acres which grew to 1000. Learn about Rheinstrom Hill’s history; Carroll’s two publishing industry careers; his role as DC Comics representative to foreign publishers; his battles with the anti-comics movement; Superman comic books entry into foreign lands.

Book Talk and signing at 2pm – Copake Grange – 628 Empire Rd, Copake (near the Copake Clock, just behind the Clock Tower Pub & Grill)

Guided Tour and Refreshments at Rheinstrom Hill Audubon Center & Sanctuary at approx 3:30pm – 225 Cambridge Road ( Take Center Hill Rd to Craryville, go east onto the northerly Cambridge Rd. Take Rheinstrom Hill to the end)
