Want to know more about the trees around you? Are you wondering about how to use your field guide? Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District invites you to learn basic tree identification skills and field guide skills. Join Pamela Price, Certified Wildlife Biologist and Education Program Coordinator for a short PowerPoint program on the terminology and techniques used in dichotomous keys and identifying trees. Then we will take a relaxing walk along the 1.5 miles of nature trails at Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center look at the trees, and apply our new knowledge to navigate a field guide! If you have a tree ID book or a hand lens, feel free to bring it! All are welcome for this educational opportunity!
