Clermont Through Alice Livingston’s Eyes

Upon her arrival at the house, as John Henry Livingston’s third wife, Alice Livingston set out to reshape the grounds of the estate to her own ideas. After her return from an extended sojourn in Italy, Alice had formal gardens installed but beyond that most of what you see today was in some way touched by Alice’s hand. Come to learn how one woman shaped the estate for the future. This walk will meet on the east side of the mansion.
