Earth Day at Hudson ReStore
Saturday, April 22, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Join us for a full-day of Earth Day observance and activities.
*Abby Lappen, local singer / songwriter will be performing from 1:30- 2:00pm.
*Brian Bissell will be at the store for the morning demonstrating his prototype for a fastener-less bookshelf made of reclaimed mahogany table leaves. There will be a raffle for the finished item!
*James Arvidson will be showing off his re-imagined and refinished wood furniture projects, such as a dresser turned into a two-seater with storage, beds turned into benches, and a refinished 1800s antique desk.
*Sharon Jensen of Grow in Harmony Recovery Garden will be on hand in the morning. This organization has a organic victory garden where the produce is donated to Food Not Bombs Albany, Columbia County Recovery Kitchen, Hudson-Catskill Housing Coalition, Mutual Aid Kitchen Hudson, Purpose Pantry Philmont, and Bliss Towers Hudson.
*Christian Sweningsen will demonstrate basic toilet repair and electrical switches and outlets from 1 to 3pm.
*Patricia Smith of Kirpal Light Satsang will be visiting us as well.
Refreshments will be available along with Earth Day coloring pages and crayons for children.
