
Ross Patterson is a versatile and accomplished musician whose talents span a wide spectrum of musical artistry. With a background in classical training and an innate love for improvisation, his piano performances are a fusion of technical precision and emotional depth. Ross is a fixture on the NYC theater scene. He has played for, produced and arranged projects and albums for numerous Broadway and Cabaret performers, including the infamous Baby Jane Dexter. For the past 22 years, he has been the musical director, arranger and pianist for the acclaimed concert Series Broadway by the Year at The Town Hall in NYC. His recent theatrical endeavors include Cruel Shoes, a musical written with his collaborator David Simpatico and Mountain Grove, a collaboration with Noah Racey for which Ross has written the music. His newest project grew out of creatively coping with the pandemic. During the lockdown, Ross improvised live on Facebook for 157 straight nights. Pulling from those improvisations, he has created structured pieces and arranged them for his trio.
