“I am not myself exempted from this misfortune”: Henry Beekman Livingston at Valley Forge

Come sit around the fire with Henry Beekman Livingston as he talks about his experience of the hard winter at Valley Forge. Listen to his pleas to anyone who will listen, for clothes and food for his men. Listen to Henry’s thoughts on the mysterious Baron Von Steuben when he arrived in camp. Find out how Jack, Henry’s enslaved servant, survived the long winter in the camp.

****There is no charge to attend the program, but visitors must register in advance on Eventbrite. Attendance will be limited to aid in social distancing. Please dress for the weather.
