Members’ Art Show

Spencertown Academy Arts Center presents its 7th annual Members’ Art Show featuring works made by 80 Academy community members.

“This exhibition is an appreciation of the visual artists in our community and neighboring communities who are involved with the universal process of creating. This year, the largest number of members ever are participating in the event,” says Norma Cohen, who serves on the Spencertown Academy Curatorial Committee. “We believe this to be a reflection of the care we give to curating this space, the attention we give to the artists who show their works here, and to the enthusiastic audiences who come to view these exhibits. We are delighted to have artwork that is multimedia. These include paintings in oil, acrylic, gouache, and watercolor; oil and chalk pastels; graphite, digital art, ceramics, wood working, collage and photography. In addition, the use of color and style in all media is varied and exciting.”

The exhibit will be on display on weekends through August 7.
