Outdoor Olana Tour: Art and Environment

This mile-long walking tour along Olana’s upper carriage road loop provides a comprehensive introduction to Frederic Church’s work as an artist, architect, and landscape designer embodied in his master work, Olana. This tour addresses the leading role that Olana has played in environmental conservation and viewshed protection decisions during the 20th and 21st centuries.
Please dress appropriately for the season and weather. Rain or shine. Good walking shoes and water encouraged.
