LIVE: Rose Stoller/Will Stratton/Lyle de Vitry

Saturday, March 28, 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$16.66

Rose Stoller is a delicate songwriter who sings in sweet and stentorian whispers. Her cascading lyrics, whimsical spirit, and intimate songs merge into a corner of her own. She draws influence from Laurel Canyon folk rock, contemporary jazz, bossa nova, R&B, and ambient soundscapes.

Will Stratton is a songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist living in Beacon, New York. His eighth album Points of Origin, a collection of narrative songs detailing the lives of fictional Californians affected by wildfires and arson, came out March 7th on Ruination Records (USA) and Bella Union (worldwide). His previous albums, 2021’s The Changing Wilderness and 2017’s Rosewood Almanac, received critical acclaim from Elton John and Alexis Petridis (The Guardian), as well as journalists at PitchforkMojo, and Uncut, among others.

Effortlessly moving between unity and dissonance, voice and instrumentation, rhythm and melody, Lyle de Vitry seamlessly integrates the comfort of folk music with the spine-shivering emotional release and intentionality of classical compositions. In so doing, he manages to create a sound as dynamic and honest as the ocean’s eternally flowing tides or the planet’s ever-changing seasons. An acclaimed songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, de Vitry was selected as one of ten finalists for the 2023 Telluride Troubadours contest and was named runner-up in the 2023 NewSong LEAF Singer-Songwriter Competition.
