A community cinema dedicated to enriching the cultural vitality of the region through film programming that challenges, inspires, educates, and entertains. In addition to regular programming consisting of a curated selection of three or four first run and independent films in 8 shows throughout each Thursday through Sunday, the theater hosts the annual FilmColumbia film festival, community events, and educational events with local schools.
In 2017 the Crandell Theatre was listed on the federal and state registers of historic places.
